While removing replacing the stator for my 86 vn750, I came across a 1995 1500 with roughly 25k on it. Outside the stator p.i.t.a. The bike has been super reliable. Any thoughts or reviews on the 1500. By the way the 750 is staying for around town.
I'm assuming that the bike you are looking at is a BUBF, or VN1500A model. The BUBF is a good bike and is highly reliable. It's missing some toys like the tach and the centerstand, but it is a great bike. Built like the VN750 but twice the size. But like the VN750, it is challenged by a lack of accessories. If the price is right, ie: $2000 or less, then I would go for it. If in great shape, go higher but remember that it is a discontuned 14 year old bike.
Hope this helps...
