V&H Cruzer pipes and Inspections

Hey guys,

Sorry to keep firing out these stupid questions, but as a new rider I am just chalk full of them!

I am about to install some V&H Cruzer Pipes and I'm wondering if this will hurt my chances to pass inspection this year? I ride an '05 in really good condition and it passed last year with no problems. Will the new pipes hurt my chances?

I live in Massachusetts if that makes a difference...

I'm willing to bet it will vary from state to state... I'd call the people that do your inspections and ask them what the restrictions are on aftermarket pipes (what do they look for)?

your biggest problem would be emmissions... if you even have them... most shops dont mind the loudness as long as it isnt like coming out of the header.... just make sure you use a new set of crush gaskets to get a good seal on the exhaust port... and again i would personally call...

Maryland does it right, inspect when you sell it and never inspect it again!

When I got my Vulcan inspected, the inspector hopped on took it around the block and said you passed. His joy ride cost me $50.

It would be the same as if the mechanic wrecked your car after repairing it and doing a test drive, they'd be responsible for it and I'd have a new Vulcan 900 right now.

Not sure about Massachusetts, but here in NH the only thing "legal" for inspections is "factory installed" exhaust. I know a couple people that got rejected for aftermarket stuff.
