Whine at ~3k rpm?

Theres a bit of an odd thing I've noticed, and that is that theres a whining/chirping noise coming from somewhere on the bike at around 3k rpms. It goes away at around 2500 or 3500, but is very consistent and pretty loud at about 2900.

It happens in all gears, and there are no loose parts on the bike that could be vibrating (that I know of). I'm not expecting anyone to know where it's coming from, but rather I want to make sure it's not a known warning sign that's something's about to break. Thanks!

A lot of possibilities here. Likely not a problem you need to be concerned over. I have read that the speedometer can do this. You can try undoing the cable at the speedometer to check this.

That's funny you say this, earlier today my speedo stopped working, and the noise went away. I pulled over to see the cable dragging along behind me, so I guess that solves that mystery.
