the autumn years

well I just recently celebrated my 64th birthday and was wondering how much longer I will carry on riding, I have no intention of quitting yet and I would be interested to know who is the oldest on the forum and how much longer I have using someone as a ball park, been riding bikes as long as I can remember, always my preferred mode of transport, left a few friends behind too on the way.

Vn 750 A2 1986 rebuilt engine, crank shaft, half casing,shell bearings,con rods,rear cylinder head,oil pump,water pump ,(had ceased bearing rusted up),tie bar upgrade,clutch basket drilled,front cylinder cam chains,toc springs,stator,shaved, rectifier,agm battery,solenoid ,starter motor (used) re-spray ongoing.

I'll be 70 at Thanksgiving.
Just started riding again after about ten years not.
It's not as easy as it used to be, but it's coming along.
Got a kinky right shoulder and a twitchy right thumb.

the oldest that I can think of would be good old "Old Dog". I believe he was in this late 70's or early 80's, he was still riding, until he past away.
ok, I just checked. Old Dog past away in March of 2015, at the young age of 78. so, if he was still around, he'd be like 81 now and I know he'd still be riding.

BLAST! I really do miss Old Dog. he was the best! when I ride, I still ride with my pegs down in memory of him.

You got me beat--won't be 64 for another 13 years! Can't imagine not riding, either. My bikes might get a little smaller as time goes on, but still have my eye on some big girls in the short-term. . . .

Everyone forgets where they park their bike sometimes. . . . It's when you forget what your bike is for that you're in trouble!
