Clymer or Haynes Manuals

Hi All,

My son bought an '85 700 LTD (ZN700A) today. It's a two owner in excellent condition with the exception of the tires....the rear is nearly slick. It's his first bike. The seller had it listed on Craigslist for $1400 (obo), and he was able to pick it up for $850. I rode it the 40 mile trip back home on mostly Interstate. It's a fun bike, and had no problem keeping up with traffic. I took it up to 80mph briefly just to see what it had in it, but with that bald tire I stayed at around 50-55mph the majority of the trip home. The only thing I didn't like was the stock seat. My arse was hurting in no time.

Anyways, does anyone know where to purchase a Clymer or Haynes for this model? I've checked eBay and Amazon, and I'm coming up with bupkis.

Thanks in advance mi amigos!

why buy when the manual is avail for free..

a little searching will find it for ya.. there are 2 versions of the same manual, both in pdf format, one is searchable the other is not. the searchable one makes it easier to use of course

Found this:

"Service Manual
All, the service manual is the same one as for the KZ750N. The manual will be for the 750 Spectre SHAFT, and there is an appendix in the back that covers the differences between the Spectre and the 700 LTD (and they are minor). 99924-1035-05 is the part number for the manual from Kawasaki, but really anything 99924-1035-XX should work. The larger the last digit, the newer the update. Search it on eBay; it should be there.

Hope this helps everyone. Best of luck."

Thanks to kanuck69 for still having the links in his signature. Finally put them in mine too.

For the VN700-750
This is the better repair manual, with index, etc. : VN750_Vulcan_Service_Manual_Parts_Catalogue

Owner's Manual: VN750_Vulcan_Owners Manual

I like Clymer usually, have found some errors in Hayne's.

Edit: Ok, just noticed the bike in question is an LTD, not a VN. Oh well I got the links now!
