Thinking of selling my 85 VN-700. 28,000 miles. Good condition. Whats it worth?

Good shape, no dents, scrapes, and runs well? Maybe $1,000 ?

Knife. Kinda what I was thinkin. Picked up an old Ironhead which is consuming my time and space. Hate to see the Vulcan go. Some say hang on to it.

Well, you got to ask yourself how much you need the money, or how much you'll end up riding the bike if you have another. If that Harely is down while you're working on it, at least you'd have a bike to ride

If I had a garage and another bike, I'd keep sta-bil or similar in the fuel and the tank topped off with ethanol-free, battery on the tender every few weeks and ride every few months to keep it fresh.

I reckon trade-in on mine would be about $800 at a dealer, might could get $1200-1500 out of mine if I sold it private party (but nobody seems to want to buy VN750's in Jax...) Neither price would be worth it to me considering all the time and effort I've put into making it run well and making it mine. I've got maybe a total of $3000 into it since purchasing it? But the blood, sweat, and tears I've got into it would make it a hard decision on my part.

Just my opinion

Oh yeah and I'd reckon ask $1400 or so, take whatever you'd be comfortable with. $1000 seems to be a good minimum for a well-maintained running bike.
