Engine Painting Question....

My engine is apart right now, both side cases off, both heads and cylinders off.

I am not sure if I should paint the engine in pieces, or wait until it is back together.

Anyone how has painted their engine, I look forward to your feedback.

you want to paint the engine with as much of it together as possible tape off all openings such as exhaust ports, and carb ports... also tape off any thing that you don't want paint in or on

I painted mine fully assembled minus the carbs, much easier than in pieces.

any engine enamel will will work...I prefer Duplicolor's engine paints... they withstand almost any abuse you can through at it...minus batt acid.
