Hey Yall,
I'm a new rider (started this year) though I've done a bike rebuild (a 93 GSXR 750 with a seized engine, now sold) and I've put in a lot of work on my 83 maxim 750 which is my current ride.
I'm hoping to upgrade my ride to something a little more comfortable so I've bought myself a 86 Vulcan 750 (~36,000km) as a fixer-upper project for this winter.
It is a project bike as the head is leaking oil from around the forward cylinder head gasket area and anti-freeze is getting into the oil. I expect that I'll have to replace the head gasket though I guess with these things it could be a cracked head or a faulty o-ring somewhere.
Right now I am looking for a complete gasket set as I would like to be able to replace as many gaskets and o-rings as possible while I'm in there. However I am having a very hard time finding a set so if anyone has any tips for where to look that would be great.
Also I would greatly appreciate hearing about other things I should check out while I'm in there as I don't really feel like doing the job twice.
Cheers
Andre Bezanson
