I didn't when I installed this kit on my bike .but it is very hard to keep from leaking!

22 bucks with shipping what a deal. Even if you have to buy some clamps.
Would high temp silicone take care of the leaks versus welding?

I just degoated my '01 and I didn't rejet. It runs great!! I don't think you need to rejet unless you do an ear shave, which changes your air flow into the carbs. I may be wrong and some one with more air mixture knowledge will explain it more.
