I've read in a few different threads about replacing the stock 55/60 watt headlamp with a brighter 80/100 bulb. (Wagner Part BP1210/H4)

I just replaced it today and found that it seems to get hotter (of course!) than the stock bulb.

My bike is a Vulcan 750 '05. Has anyone heard of any negative issues with this type of upgrade?

Thank you

Michael

Michael There are only 2 negs to be concerned with.
Extra heat which could damage the bulb mount...not likely IMHO.
And the extra wattage you're pulling from the anemic generating system. Anemic not in the wattage it can generate...there's plenty of juice available.
Anemic in the dependability area.....
Maybe 'anemic' is not the right word...but do a search here or on Y! of 'Stator' & you'll get the idea....
