OK, dumb question here, I hear this came on the 85 to 88 models. was it on all bikes, or just a select few? where is it located? i have the 85 and my turn signals don't shut off automatically.

The turn signal cancel in attached to the switch (and it is manual) - there is a spring loaded mechanism that sits under the switch, which has a small ball-bearing looking protrusion that engages the 3 teeth of the switch. Take the two screws out from the bottom of the left 'controller' (i.e. the unit that has your choke, light dimmer, turn signal switch), and split it in half, and you'll see it pretty easy. You might just need to lube it up a bit. Hope this helps!!!
