Just bought a vn750 a few months ago...how fast do the clutches typically go in them. I am a moderate rider, not too aggressive.
thanks

As you did not say if the bike is new, used , or how many miles on it, or if the previous owner was bad to it....it be hard to say what YOU should expcect.

A brand new Vulcan can go a good 50,000 miles before it needs a clutch..sometimes more.....but again, sometimes less.

Are you having problems with it?

If you are a conservative rider, the clutch will prob last longer than the bike.

The motorcycle clutches are Hardcore, man! Do not worry too much about it if you dont have any problems now. They can really take a beating!

Don't forget to use good oil too. How about another 'what kind of oil do you use?' thread? My VN is above 31k miles using synthetic oil w/no clutch problems (or chatter).

Just in case you are asking the question due to a weird grinding noise the bike may make in the morinings when it is cold, this is the "coffee grinder" noise and afflicts many of us but is harmless. It goes away as the oil warms up and allows the clutch plates to not stick to each other when compressed.
