I'm in Worthington, OH but only for another week... I'm here on business and staying at the Residence Inn in Worthington. After that, I'm back to Chicago...

I met with Kanuck tonight and we had dinner. Great guy.

I'm just over in Dayton. My younger sister and brother in law live in Columbus. Actually my younger sister used to run the activities and such at the Zanesville YMCA. I'm hoping to have my bike finished up here soon so I can get some riding in this season. :)

If you have any questions, let me know if I can help. I am just about finished with a complete tear down to bare frame and re-build. Be safe and watch out for stop lights still not working after the windstorm!

Yes I know he`s probably a spammer with that greenlight laser in his sig. However we were shining one of those green lasers around out at a farm last winter. When it hit a tree trunk or power pole a 1/4 to 1/2 mile away it lit up like a neon sign. It was only a low powered one too, the smallest made I think. I`d love to see one of the high powered ones.

That would put you about an hour east of me. Are near Stubenville? We all need to do a ride next seaseon with all of these ohio riders. I think theres close to 10 of us.

I agree with meeting up for a ride next riding season with more and more riders that visit the site that number of 10 might double. Anyways sounds like fun and count me in.

Kanuck, your hand guard and fairing looks good on the bike. I rode last week and my hands were frozen.

Yep I'm just outside of Stupidville. BTW folks it does deserve the nickname. I'm about 5 miles east of there. I'm hoping to have the VN7 revived by next season but if not I have two other KZ750's. I was hoping to get a ride in yesterday but I spent all day reviving my old truck.

So I'm new to this forum, and I see it's not been active for a while.

The weather is about to turn and I'm always looking for new people to meet and riding partners are AWESOME!

I live in Reynoldsburg (east Columbus) and will be riding as much as I can this year! Anyone who is interested in joining me, shoot a reply or PM and I'd love to get to know you and to plan some adventures!

Looking forward to hearing more!

Iron Pony is a biker Mecca :)

Anyway, Anywhere in the state is a short ride on a nice day, right? I'm really looking forward to getting together with some new friends! My girl and I love to spend a nice day in the wind with good company.

I think this spring we should get a as many members in Ohio and plan a weekend ride. My wife is not keen on riding but my 8 year old daughter is my side kick. Send me a pm Artmis when your ready to ride or if you want to work on your bike. I purchased a stereo sound system that I need to hook up and im bidding on some floorboards because the stock are uncomfortable to me.

I'll be up for some rides this season! My new jobs got me pretty busy during the week & I'm not around the site as much but come good weather I'm definatly looking for some "noncommute" rides! ;)

Hi Kanucks,

We passed one another on 270 last year during our evening commute from work but I agree it would be more enjoyable ride if we could schedule a ride one weekend instead of "noncommute rides". It looks like more vn750 riders are in Columbus and surrounding areas.

I'm in chiilicothe an hour south of you. gotta love the pony. took the wife up there and my 5 yo lil girl and told them as we walked in, here goes 3 hours of your life you wont get back jokingly, 4 hours later we left the store. my daughter loved it, everytime I wear my iron pony shirt she gets excited. I'll be ready for some riding soon but have to troubleshoot some electrical problems first! 8000 miles last summer and loved every one of them, even the ones in the rain!

Some great ideas on getting together, I'm all for it! I would even be willing to offer my place as an unofficial rendezvous point so we could stage the events! My wife loves to ride with, so do our kids. That's nice for me because my sidekick changes frequently and keeps things interesting!

I plan to ride as much as possible once the weather turns, both commute and non-commute rides. And I'm not opposed to trips of any length as long as I can gain some confidence in my bike before I stray too far from home (this is where having a maintenance buddy would be helpful).

There are some great places worth exploring depending on the time available. Has anyone here ever been to the Devil's Staircase? I'll look forward to putting more together as it warms up, in the mean time I'll be working to add the mods I want on the bike beforehand so she'll be ready to get in the wind on time!

this thread maybe old, but you've got the right idea! start early and you maybe able to get a "get together" to happen in the Columbus area. there seems to be more than a few members around Columbus.
I would like to see an "Ohio members get together" happen. Columbus would be a good place to have it, since it's more or less the middle of state. although, I most admit, I would love to see it happen in the Hocking Hills area. everybody knows how I love the Hills!
