ok, I will be changing my tires in a few weeks, and while I am at it, I will try my hand at lubing the spline and any other maintenance that has to be done with the wheel/final drive off...

So, here are my questions:
What parts should I buy ahead of time that should/might need replacing?
What tools will I need?
What fluids/lube do I need and where? (oil for final drive, moly lube for the splines, and anythign else, etc..)

I want to make sure I can start the project with everything I need and not have to stop halfway to get parts.

Many thanks
Jeremy

Check your brake shoes. If worn you might change them out.

27mm deep socket for the axle nut. I had a heck of a time finding one in my local area. Both of my local hardware stores only had em up to 19. I had to run 40 miles north to find one then (murphys law) after I got home realized that it was a 3/4 inch drive socket and my torque wrench was a 1/2 Arghh......

Moly 60 ain't easy to find either unless you have a M/C shop in your area.

The job itself goes pretty quick when you have everything you need on hand. Have fun....
