Some may have read this from the other site so this is also just my test msg here. Have any of you urned your ears around? I was looking at mine last night and found the right one was very close to teh head and seems like it would suck in plenty of HOT air. I turned them around today and the intake is about even with teh rad cover and now in the COOL air area. I'm hoping this will make the engine run cooler and thereby make it last longer. Any ideas, concerns, coments?

Chilly...I have thought abt it. I think Grambo did it LY. I'm wondering tho..
did you swap the right for the left ear, or merely turn them upside down?? Any mounting difficulties? I looked at a 'simulation' when I had them off when I was doing my stator...I can't remember if I liked them that way or not.

I did keep them on the same side, had to move the brackets to. keep top on top bottom to bottom) I like them better this way, I don't even see them any more fro the riding poition and to the non Vulcan rider, who's to know which way is correct. I've just always been taought that cooler air is btter for the engine and that's why I did it. Only takes about 10 min per side to change so if you don't like it, it's easy to reconvert.

Its not so much that the engine will run cooler, cooler air is denser and therefore you will be able to get more into the engine than hot air, that is the reason for the hood scoop on cars (real ones that is)
I may just try that myself.
