I'm not surprised since once you join this forum you seem to be IN FOR LIFE!!!

I've tried to unregister by sending a note to administration, I've put all emails through "spam" and STILL I'm getting a hundred VN-750 posts jamming up my email box every day.....

I WANT TO UNREGISTER OK?!? I had a slight interest in the VN-750 when I thought I might buy a used one. Since then, I've decided to buy a REAL V-twin (Sportster 1200 C) so LEMME OUTTA HERE!!!!! :hitanykey

Well, it's simple enough to stop the emails yourself,

Go to your "User CP" (Control Panel) at the top of every page, just below the dual disc brake front wheel
Click "Edit Options" on the left side, under the section "Settings & Options".
Scroll down to "Messaging & Notification"
Where it says "Default Thread Subscription Mode" click the drop down menu
Select "No Email Notification"
No more emails from one of the best web groups for one of the best V-Twins ever made

Sorry you decided to spend soooo much money and will no doubt be spending soooo much more for parts.
But hey, to each their own. :beerchug:

And I have heard, 98% of all Hardleys ever sold are still on the road, the other 2% made it all the way home

You sure its from here and not the yahoo group? I haven't looked at the yahoo group for awhile, but I remember signing up for emails from yahoo and my email box received plenty of messages (quickly turned that off). At the time, this board was just getting started - maybe now we are caught up to them with the number of daily posts

This is great. The membership is taking off so fast. Is there a way to graph it over time and post that graph? I think it was less than a year ago that we passed the 1000 member milestone.

This seems to be an issue with more than a few members at the Y! group.
The funny thing is, right on the home page of the Y! (http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/VN750/) group it says:
Note!! We generate sixty or more posts a day. If you don't want them in your email box, be sure to select "digest" or "no email" if you sign up. You will have all the Group privileges, but will have to come here to read/send messages.

Hey Guys and Gals,

I just bought a 1991 vulcan 750, not currently running, but will be soon. Hope to go on some rides before the extreme Texas heat takes over. Having gas issues with the bike right now, but i hope I can get that fixed this weekend. Bye for now...

Hello I am new to your group. Just bought a 2002 VN750 a few weeks ago. The seller had two identical bikes.....his wife gave up riding so he sold it to me. Had 4500 miles on it an a cream puff. I have put about 700 miles on it and am getting used to it now. Going on a ride with my son-in-law and grandson on their bikes Monday to Canyon Lake about 40 miles NE of San Antonio where I live.

I am curious if there other 750 members in San Antonio.

Look forward to the interconnect with everyone.

Wow! How did I miss this guy? Brilliant too! Joined here and yahoo and couldn't figure out how to turn off email posts? But hey, he bought a "real v-twin"... (in the Hardley world, isn't the 1200 considered a "ladies" bike?) Let's see, spend 9K+ and get just slightly less performance stock than our 750's can give ya. And then pop off on our site about it! You gotta love this guy.

I'm a newby still trying to figur out how to post msgs.

I have a 02 750 and need a luggage rack. I am familiar with the Kawi one,but it is only rated for 5 lbs and is small.

I see on Ebay a Highway Hawk rack for a 750, which looks good and sturdy and larger than the Kawi rack. The seller says it is a discontinued item from Highway Hawk but his is new and in the box. It looks like it has too many holes to match up with the 750. Does anyone have a Highway Hawk rack on their bike. This one appears to have 5 holes in the side rails. Or any other ideas on where to get a rack?

PS Greatly enjoy the Forum & Gallery. Ran into a Lady rider at Barnes&Nobles today on a 96 750....only the 3rd other 750 I have seen in San Antonio so far. I really enjoy looking at all the tricked out 750s on the gallery. If I ever learn how to do it, I will post pics. of my "beautiful beast"....just the standard black and grey with not accessories so far. Also trying to decide if I want to mount saddle bags...hate to disturb the original look and move the signals....I have always liked to stay original with my toys....different strokes you know.....

Thanks to you who provide all the good tips and expert advise. My bike has 7500 miles now...bought it 2 months ago with 5500 miles. Just picked up on the advice to get drive shaft inspect/lubed. Going in for 6000 mile service next week.

Ride with my grandson, his dad, my daughter and her husband and also our church bikers group. We have about 12 bikes parked at the front door each Sunday. Have about 30 total riders in the group.

The Old Timer from San Antonio..... 70+ and still riding.

It's a team effort, Fergy.
This is my first streetbike. I got lucky that this site was started around the same time I got the bike. Most of what I knew before I got it was dirtbikes. Similar, yet different.
And even with the lucky #7, I think it was more than a few months before I made my first post here

If it weren't for this wonderful group of members (as well as the Yahoo group), I wouldn't know 3/4 of what I do now about the Vulcan. :smiley_th

5158 members, you reckon we'll hit 6000 before they change the homepage to 5000. I figured they would be right on that cause 5000 seems like a good round number, like an anniversary number. wonder how many possible members there could be, meaning how many vulcans were produced in all these years.

I belong to a fordtruckenthusiasts forum, and a chrysler forum. the ford one isnt too bad, chrysler has little help or information but I have never seen a forum with as much FREE help and FAST help and friendlier people than the vn750 forum PERIOD. this site is awesome and so is everyone here. I am glad to be a part of it and hope I can help anyway I can. this is one of the first sites I go to everyday after I check my email just to see if anything is new or if I can help in any way.
