I just replaced the head gaskets on my 88. put the engine back together and then ran into a problem while trying to reinstall everything. I attached the clutch cable and gave it a squeeze to check it. It just stayed put. I think I didn't attach it correctly or something cause the mechanism seems alot more complicated than just a mere reattachment. Any advice for reinstalling the clutch cable after the drive bevel house has been removed and replaced again would be much appreciated.

Unfortunately I didn't bother to take any pictures of this thing before I ripped it apart cause I figured "how hard could it be?". God Im stupid.

do you have the repair manual. It has been a godsend for me sofar. I had the becel gear case off not to long ago. I went to the drive shaft that route. There was a very spacific way it all works right where the cable attaches. I don't remember exactly but it was in the manual. I just read over it twice before I got it!

Download & keep this. It might not always be there. I'll try to remember to look in the morning. See if I can't rememberwhat was up!:smiley_th
