I figure I might as well replace it since I'm going back in there again, am unsure if it needs to be pressed in or what the procedure is for removal/installation. Justin 2003 VN750 23000 miles Red Baron 11-29-2004, 08:34 AM Yes, I have, and I recommend that anyone that has gone through the trouble of removing that cover also replace that seal. It comes out *fairly* easy with a screw driver. It just needs to be pressed in. I used a dowel and a rubber mallet to reseat my new one.
