I really appreciate all your comments, both good and bad,, but it seemed overwhelingly good. I took delivery of my new '05 Vulcan 750 yesterday afternoon!! I haven't even started it yet!! But has 2 miles on it and 27 coats of wax on it (so far)!!
The dealership was a good experiance and I feel comfortable with their services. Will keep you posted on the progress. Again Thanks,, especially Dianna. She gave it to me straight!!
I just bought a new HJC AC-3 helmet off E-Bay. Excellant price, even with shipping. Where can I get the Kawasaki K46001-010A (V-Force) windshield and the Kawasaki K32000-023A Engine Guard for my bike at the best price?
Is the headlamp bulb a sealed beam type or does it take the H4 (9003) capsule? What is the trade# for the taillight anf turn signal bulbs? (1156, 1157 ect.) Owners Manual is very vague on this and is no help....
Thanks again for all yall's help!!

Congrats on your new bike?

You can usually find these items on ebay. www.ronayers.com has good prices too.

The number of the headlamp bulb escapes me at the moment, but it is a small halogen bulb. The front turn signals and taillight are 1157's, rear turn signals are 1156, and I think the tag light is too. (I havent had that open yet)

*LOL* Well I have never been one to sugar coat things and glad I could help. Did you get the maintenance free battery with the bike? if not, then do so in the meantime keep a close eye on that wet cell battery water levels and the vent tube.
Before the wax builds up too much, a couple of things you will want to do.. Put a dab of dilicone sealant on the toolbox lock and the swingarm caps. The do tend to work free with road travel and this will help keep them in place. Also while you have that toolbox open, lay a strip of ducttape over inside of the plastic 'hinge' portion. If you get into the toolbox often enough the plastic hinge wears and can weaken. When that happens, the lock doesn't hold the door in place and it can end up being a road bump somewhere along the Virginia highways *S*
be sure and read through some of the Vulcan Verses http://www.vn750.com/Docs/Verses.htm for other ideas, maintenace tips and solutions some rainy afternoon when you start thinking about mods and after you get some miles on your bike.
Ride safe and enjoy the miles!

Headlight is not a sealed beam. It is the H4 (9003) 55/65 watt type. I have seen some use 55/100 watt type (but if you do this, don't add any other electrical stuff to your bike).

Ditto on the tail light bulbs, your numbers are correct..
