So I've done this trip before and enjoy it. There is a nice little vineyard about 75 miles from NYC. http://www.benmarl.com/directions.html

It's a nice ride to go on. Or I think so. (Palisades Parkway north to the Bear Mtn traffic circle, then Route 9W north through Newburgh...)

Weather being nice I'm thinking of doing it again. I'd leave about 10:30am. there is a diner just before you get there for some food then a little wine tasting and great views then a ride back. Just looking for a relaxed day ride

I'd go if I: 1) didn't live in Ohio, and 2) hadn't quit drinking 6 years ago!

Even so, it sounds like a great road trip. I remember driving up 9W many years ago -- gorgeous.
