Like an idiot the other day I tried to start my bike in gear. It of course jumped off the kickstand (the clutch switch is broke) and landed right on the clutch lever and broke the little ball off the end. I would like to get a set of wide levers but I can't seem to find any that fit my year. I have an '86 and all the wide styles I have seen say they only fit 91-04. Are they really different? Are there any others models or makes that will fit? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately for you the brake levers are different on the 85-90 models. Easiest way to tell is if you have the rectangular Master cylinder. The rectangular ones take a different brake lever with an additional notch on them. In 91 they switched to the round Master Cylinder and the brake lever changed. We found a place in Germany I think that did the wide levers for the 85-90 and did a group order last time to help cut down on shipping. Pick over at the YAHOO Group may still have the contacts.
