Going to replace my tires soon and figure it be a good time to have the splines relubed. Can anybody tell me the KAW No# of the o-ring that should be replaced when you lube the splines? Thanks...

I have never replaced any o-ring when lubing the splines. Where is this o-ring located?

is there a substitute that people have found for the O ring? No one carries the Kaw part and shipping is twice the cost of two o rings. I don't want to use an inferior piece from a local hardware store.

Thanks

I picked up a plastic container of #17 O-rings at Lowes that worked perfectly. There were aproximately 10 rings and they cost around $2. Should be enough to last 100,000 miles.
