: Gear case oil?

I just checked the gear case oil, nothing came out when I unscrewed the large nut, even on the side stand. I just now read about the bottom screw so I didn't drain from there. Anyway, I filled to bottom of threads while my son rotated wheel back. Then I noticed an allen screw almost on top that looked like it tubed into the case. I unscrewed and continued to fill with gear case oil (heavy marine synthetic)

Did I screw up?

You dont want to turn the wheel while you fill, that wil cause you to over fill the case.
Drain from the bottom screw 14 MM i believe and fill to the thread on the top large screw 24 MM I think not the allen.

Ahh, I probubly over-filled. Wonder what the allen screw is for?

No, it's on the top. I'll go take a pic and post it...

I don't think anyone's ever figured that out. Probably something involved in the assembly process.

don't worry. even if you did overfill, the excess oil will drain via the breather hole on top of the rear end (it is not visible until you remove the wheel). if so, you will have a bit of oil drip .

i think the allen screw is for something else in the final drive...

I suppose you could use the allen screw as a drain if you flip the bike over!:p

PS--I found ya!
