Blog on my friend. 'Someone' once said that the pen is mightier than the sword.

The minions have be ignored for far too long. The automobile industry has been offering recalls for years on their products. I feel this drive spline issue is a perfect example of a recall that should be made due to factory oversight of a significantly expensive part failure. Why should we pay for their failure? We faithfully buy their product, we push their product on one another, we seek to keep alive their legacy in the VN700/750. We deserve a little consideration.

Lets sic'um!!!

I was reading on one of the blogs, Little Green Footballs about a form letter that people can use to send to your local Congressman about the CBS debacle. All you have to do is cut and past the form in an e-mail and send it to them. Perhaps we should do the same thing, create a draft and have it mass e-mailed to Momma Kaw from everyone in the group, it might get thier attention.

Anyone want ot volunteer to post a such a letter? Also furnish Momma Kaw's e-mail address?

I would expect any complaints on this issue will have less 'traction' (excuse the pun) due to the apparent discontinuation of the VN750. Starman.

Spence,

I just read your piece on the home page and I don't think it's mean enough. The Suzuki Bandit forum (http://www.maximum-suzuki.com/ibf/index.php?showforum=18 ) had to go to great lengths to finally draw enough attention to the fact that the 2nd generation 1200's (2001-2002) had bad pistons resulting in excessive smoking and/or heavy oil consumption. Hell, Suzi was telling owners that using a quart of oil every 1000 miles was normal - talk about BS!

I hope to check my final drive tomorrow and with 7,900 miles on the odo I hope the splines are ok. Part of me doesn't want to look for fear the driveshaft splines are worn down and lube free. I have the Honda 60% Moly waiting to go on. I'll post up with what I find.
