I think I remember an adjustable brake lever metioned on the Yahoo group that was adjustable. I have Galfer SS lines and there is NO flex in the lines which. The lever needs so little travel to actually stop that it's fairly far from the grip. Luckily I have large hands but with my new DP sintered metal pads the problem is now a bit worse and with cold weather gloves it's a bit of a reach.

I ordered a new 5 position brake lever (not chrome) from Flanders on
Tues at 5 pm and it arrived Thurs! The stock lever was to far out to
reach comfortably after my Galfer braided SS brake line install. -
The massive amount flex in the stock rubber lines allows the stock
brake lever to come far enough back to squeeze comfortably but the SS
lines simply don't flex and that has the stopping action occuring as
soon as you first squeeze. The advantage of SS lines is much
better/safer braking through increased control/modulation and because
they are teflon lined inside of steel braid they'll never wear out! I
highly recommend this mod. The lever's part # is 402-32104 and with
shipping it came to $26.77. It feels great in position 4 and 5 and
looks stock! Kudos to Flanders customer svce and thanks to those of
you on this group that recommended them to me.
