There is going to be a covered bridge run/fund raiser for a rider in the hospital. It's starting up in Brunswick MD. It's scheduled for April 14th. If my bike is running by then I will be riding in it.

A few more details from SCRC forum...

Date 14 April 9:30 am Launch from 100 feet East of the Sheets store in at the Park-in-Ride

Going to be a Great Ride! The ride last year had over 80 bikes so it’s a great run thru the mountains, and it’s for a great cause.

Big Ronnie Any Questions call my home 1-717-642-5849

All riders are welcome.

Are you kidding me? Geez. I live here, and I'm the last to know...

Let me know if you can make it! I'll bring some friends along and we can raise some extra money.

Well, Big Ronnie has an area code that's York or Harrisburg, PA...I wonder: do they lead us back to the Park and Ride, or just over the mountains??

The guy who had the accident was from the Antietam chapter of the SCRC. But I believe the bridges are in southern PA. Anyway, I have a gps equiped phone so no matter where we end up I can get us back. LOL. I'll keep you posted as to whether or not I can go. I'de love to get a chance to ride with a fellow VN750er.

Well the bike has come out of surgery okay so I will be attending this ride. I have been informed the bridges are in Maryland. It's an 82 mile trip. I'll have to make an early start Sat morning to be there for the gathering. Hope It warms up just a bit!

Most of us have been looking hard at the weather forcasts from all sources for this coming weekend. It appears that the rain will hold off until early afternoon. This gives no consideration for those that we expect to come longer distances. Also, the chilly weather will hold others back.

So, officially, we will run the "Our Weeble Fell Down" ride on April 21 (Saturday). We will make the meet time 9:30 AM (To grant antoher 1/2 hour for the long distance riders) and kickstands up starting at 10:00 AM. We will have a rain date of 5 May (same time/place) if it is raining or better than 60% chance of rain on the 21st.

Foxhound, I'll see ya then! This weekend's weather had me saying, "nope" already; but the 21st looks pretty promising (at least in terms of my schedule).

If the switch isn't fixed, then I'll have the hot-wiring all figured out. ;)

Will do - I'll see if I can find a pic of me somewhere. I had one posted for awhile with safety goggles, a respirator and gloves....kinda hard to generalize from that one, though.

LOL! Sounds almost like a space suit.

I was cleaning rear brakes at the time, so I figured between the acetone cleaner and the asbestos in the brake linings, best to be cautious. Haven't used the brake cleaner much of late, though - I don't think it does a good job on anything except those rear brake shoes, and it's too funky to be dealing with. Right now, I'm sticking with steel wool and my dremel. :beerchug:

Hey, Mark!
I can't seem to get to your pics, although I've now set up my own account (?). I'm IT challenged, however, so wait until you hear from others. I'm hoping to ride that route on Sunday - look forward to seeing your pics!
