: Anyone Have Stock Needles Around? 93VN750 03-12-2007, 08:44 AM I have adjustable needles in my carbs and can not get the jetting correct. Thought (based on Jim's suggestion) that I would try the stock needles. Anyone have any stock/factory needles they want to sell? He was pretty confident that I do not have my needles adjusted correctly. Said they should be on the 3rd notch down, sound familiar? Also suggested a couple of shims on top of the clip. On top of the clip wont be any different than no shims at all, as far as position of the needle. Kinda like moving the clip down, actually moves the needle up. Or am I just more confused than usual on a Monday night (Tuesday morning)?:p Tim - According to Factory Pro, the shims on top of the clip, and under the head of the needle add stability to the position of the needle by added downward pressure.
