I have the Kaw shop manual, however it isn't that user friendly (specifically looking at spline lube). Does anyone have recommendations regarding the Clymer's or Hayne's manuals? Are they easier to follow / better pix?

I have the Clymer's, and for the most part, I'm able to interpret it pretty good. Though, I've only done minor stuff such as changing oil.

I have the Haynes manual. I bought it on ebay for about $15. I've used it to tear out and rebuild my carbs, break down my forks, and troubleshoot a cooling system problem. I also use it as a reference for all the factory specs (I don't have an owner's manual). So far, it has worked like a charm.

I've never used the Clymer, but a lot of people swear by it.

My guess is that either one will suit you fine.

I have all three. I don't use the one that is combined with the 800 much (I don't recall if that is the Clymer or Haynes.) Although it does have nicely colored wiring diagrams. I mostly use the Kaw manual, but sometimes the others go into more detail in a specific area which is helpful.
