At 1:00 pm I spotted a guy on a bike cruising hwy 17

He looked real cold!

I rode this morning. It was 39 degrees and I thought that was cold. 24 is a bit too low for my blood.

Heated gear is definitely the way to go. I ride year round in the D.C. area and it get's pretty cold. I made it through this whole winter with only a few days that were too cold to ride. The morning temps were in the single digits and it my head was just too cold.

I've got Gerbing heated glove liners that I wear under Goretex glommits from Deluth Trading Co. That combo kept my hands comfortable at any temperature.

Wait a minite. Isn't it May? Quit talking about cold, heated gear (in TX, holy crap!) We've been listening to that all winter. :) 24 in May....go south young man, go south!!
