Hello, guys...

I'm François, 48, married, 3 kids, living near Toulouse, France.

I am the happy owner of 2 Hondas : one is a '80 CX500 C and the oher one a '83 GL650 Silverwing, both V-twins, as you'll notice.

I was just offered by a couple of friends (thanXX to them) a '93 VN750... It didn't growl for 2 years, but looks fine... I hope I can find a little help and info from you, guys...

Hello and Welcome!!!
Has not growled in 2 years hu...... well I'd say start with a tank flush and get some fresh fuel in there with some Sea Foam.... get that flowing through the carbs while you go on to clean and check your electrical conections. That will give the Sea Foam some time to loosen and clean the carbs a bit!

From there let us know what is going on, and some where some one will point you in the right direction!!

And again Welcome to the group!!

Bonjour, François. Congratulations on your 750 and welcome to the site. As another new member, I have found everyone here very helpful and nice. The folks here, especially the legacy members, have tremendous amount of knowledge on the VN750.

If you haven't done so, I would also take a look at the Vulcan Verses. There is some great information there that you won't find anywhere else, even from the manufacturer.

Welcome again. :motorcycl

ThanXX to y'all for the welcome !!

How's the weather on your side of the big pond ?

We had a very sunny day today, with 12°C max, but it ain't gonna last long... We're heading into a wet weekend.

My job for today was : new oil and filter, fresh fuel, new spark plugs, a new battery... After that, a couple of cautious brake tests : looks OK. First kilometers on the road are planned for tomorrow :D

Cool, La Duf, let us know how she does...:smiley_th I sprung today for a pair of metzler ME880's and damn do they make a difference in the way the bike rides (of course got the rear splines greased while the wheel was off).
