I need some advice. This weekend I replaced my F & S V-Force
windshield with a Memphis Fats (17 " above the headlight) windshield.
So far, I really like it, but, being vertically challenged, it is
about 2-2.25 " higher than I would like for it to be. I prefer to
look over the w'shield, and I can, but only by making a conscious
effort to peer over the top. I don't think that this would be very
comfortable in a prolonged rain.
Somewhere I found an article giving detailed instructions on trimming
the height of a windshield, but I have been unable to relocate it.
Anyone know where I might look?
BTW, I will be selling my V-Force w'shield. It came off of my 2003
VN750 (About 6000 miles). I need to clean the bugs off to see if
there are any significant scratches (I am not aware of any), but
other than some installation scratches on the painted black mounts
that connect to the headlight, it is in good shape. I have all the
connecting hardware, and I will sell it for $50 plus actual shipping
costs. I wanted to give our group first crack at it, so if anyone is
interested, let me know, otherwise I will run it on eBay.
Ride safe,
