Hi Guys, I wanted to give an up on some mods I put on the bike. I put on the Kuryakyn ISO grips, and brake pad cover and they feel & look great. The ISO grips give the bike a whole different feel. The grips just make the bike feel bigger (in a good way). I’m going to try and adapt the switchblade pegs on this weekend and maybe a shift peg cover. We’ll see how it goes.

Quick question about the MF battery. Assuming I get the Yuasa MF battery I think the right size is 5 5/16 x 3 ½ x 6 9/16 does that sound right? Also, I’m not much of a mechanic, so aside from simply disconnecting the old one and dropping in the new one, is there anything else I need to know so I don’t screw it up??

Thanks in advance :beerchug:

The battery will contain YB14LA2, which is the stock group size, and the industry standard size. Be sure to remove the negative first and install it last. I also like the larger grips on my bike. The brake pedal pad is one of the best mods I have done. I have the shift peg cover also, but the only one I can find is a little long for the VN750. It works, but the outside rubber part does not want to lay correctly. I am looking at options.

The MF battery number is: YTX14AHL-BS and measures:
5 5/16" x 3 1/2" x 6 9/16"
You'll have to fill the battery cells with the solution that comes with it, just follow the directions. Do a trickle charge on it before using it.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. :smiley_th If I think the shift peg looks good after I put it on I'll let you know. I'm also thinking about one of the throttle locks like break away. never a dull moment!

I contacted Kuryakin directly about their shift peg covers and their reply was that none of the ones they make will work correctly on a VN750.

I guess that answers that question. How do you like your brakeaway cc?

See the thread below. There are many users of the shift peg cover. you may have to stuff it with something (inner tube).

Dasher, the Brakeaway cruise control is great. It works just like advertised. However, you will have to get an extra long mounting bolt and add some washers to get it mounted right. You also have to double up the spacers around the throttle grip. Once it is positioned correctly and all the final adjustments made, you will be very happy with it.
