Hey All..

Well.... while installing new saddlebag supports and bags... Bolting down the seat I had to angle the screws and low and behold.... snap goes the toolbox door!! :BLAM:

So... I am looking for a new tool box. If you have one in god shape let me know.
Other wise I will be forced to call the dealer for one. :doh:

and I just posted one that ended 4 days ago on Ebay if anyone needed one too!!! :doh:

What about getting a small hinge and repairing that one ?
It'll outlast any others then.

Hey TrashLord, Thanks for the part number.... have one on the way!! Looked all through the parts diagrams and would have never have thought to look in "battery case" for it!

and after seeing how it all goes together, I might hinge mine in case I need another.... that is if it looks ok when I am done!

For those thinking of putting a hinge on the box, what ya could do to make it look better is get a thin strip of leather or imitation leather (fabric store would probably have the fake stuff), put a thin layer of silicone adhesive on the back, then postion it over-top-of the hinged area. It'd cover up the busted part and give it a more finished look.

Duct Tape!

Nah, packing tape. Duct tape is meant for, um, I don't really know. It's definitely not meant for ducts, as the name suggests. I believe it is meant for practical jokes, as it eventually falls off whatever you stuck it to.
