Hi John, welcome to the forum!

Can you give a little more detail? Is the headlight turning off when you rev the bike to 4K while sitting still, or only while riding? Are you saying that if you squeeze the brake lever while revving at =>4K the headlight comes back on? Try to be as specific as possible when explaining the problem. Thanks!

It Will Shut Off Just Reving It Up.it Will Not Come Back On At 4k When Touching Brake,or Any Other Switch.the Headlight Out Minder Light Never Comes On Either.

check all connections....when i say this, pull them apart, look for corrosion and reconnect and make sure that the metal is a tight fit. to me it sounds like it may be a loose connection and the vibration of the engine is causing it.

You may also want to get a voltmeter or multimeter and check the charging voltage of the system at various rpms. Also it may be a bad lighting reserve unit. I think there is a post on the Y! forum on how to bypass it to see if that fixes it.

Get some dielectric grease at your auto parts store and while you are finding/cleaning connections, put some grease in each of them to seal moisture out and hopefully keep them from corroding.
