Eather way, personal prefrence. V&H little louder than degoat but alot more $$$. I have degoated mine and drilled out the screen in the muffler, sound is close to V&H but price was $60 for the scootworks kit. I have not been disapointed.
Congrats on the new bike, enjoy

I have the V/H pipes on my 06. Under 4k rpm the sound is bareble. Above that, and with the engine under a load, forget it. I am thinking about reinstalling the stock exhaust and relocating the R/R as to keep it cool. The R/R is located just above the Goat Belly which is hotter than hell, with litte air flow to keep it cool. Ill most likely reinstall the stock exhaust and leave it at that. Anyone interested in a set of 2 month old V/H Cruzers? Im located in NY 40 miles north of NYC.

You know what they say,"if it's to loud you are to old" Have you tried to put more packing around the baffles? Was thinking of doing that myself for awhile but it doesn't bother the neighbors at 5:30am so I will leave as is. Normaly I wear earplugs if I'm going to be on the hiway for any length of time.
