Hello.
My name is Steve & I'm looking forward to getting another motorcycle in the near future. I really like the middle weight Japanese cruisers & have been looking at the different models. The VN750 really appeals to me because of the shaft drive & the relatively lower prices that the earlier models sell for on ebay. I don't know how well it would fit me; I'm 6'2". From reading this forum, it looks like that could be remedied for $300+ by getting a set of forward controls. It's been fun reading & I'll read some more. This is a very informative forum. Thanks.

welcome! i am 6'1 and love my forwards. plus this bike is higher then most cruisers wich is a plus for someone long legged like me. overall this is a great bike, might be not the best looking one but looks are desieving - there is a lot hidden in it.
hizzo is right, new set is 600. but i seen some used ones on ebay going for as low as 100. you need to hunt for them though

Welcome to the forum, fellow Texan!
VN750 is the best value for the dollar in the middleweight cruiser class. NO other bike NEAR it's class has all the features the 750 has. It's a ball to ride. Hope you get to try one out somewhere. Good luck with your searching.

Middleweight..... with the new goldwing/valkrie engine this puts us in the same class as dirt bikes and 125 cc bikes lol.... I think compared to a flat 6 cyl, we are now light weights. Plus makes the harley guys even more mad when they know they just got dusted by a light weight bike
Congrats and welcome. we really should put together a texas ride. just wait till i get my bike back together :P
