Hello-
Just purchased a 2004 Vulcan; I was told by the seller that it had a bent rotor (front brake). Can't see it, but I think I feel it when applying front brake- vibrations, pulsing, etc.
What can I do? I searched the forum and found that no one has had their rotors turned. The part from kawa costs $224 for one rotor.
Any suggestions or direction would be reatly appreciated.

Geez! $224 ?!? Check some of the aftermarket places. Drive it to one of the auto parts stores and have them come look at it to see if they might be able to turn it. If they can, go home and yank 'em.

Did the seller tell you how it got bent? You can go ahead and drive on it, except for the annoying pulsating. Eventually, though it will get worse.

If you haven't done so already, read ALL the Vulcan Verses on the main forum page. It will help answer questions and solve problems that you may face down the road.

I don't know if it is an exact match, but the VN800 has the same part number on the front disc rotor. There are a couple on ebay right now for an 800. Can anyone x-reference on here?

Hello- Don't know how rotor was bent- bought through a dealer, he knew it was bent, told me, but didn't know how it got that way. Don't want ebay rotors- they may be bent too.
Does anybody have an aftermarket source for front rotors/ disks/ discs that will fit a 2004 VN 750? I searched this forum, googled, but to no avail. I tracked down 1 source of EBC rotors, but would like other options. Thnx!

Just do not get into a hurry. There are a lot of these bikes arround. Check ebay, and shop arround. It always makes me feel bad when I buy something and a day later I find one that cost less.

The short bit of searching I did came up with EBC and nothing else.
