Hey yall! Nice forum! Just put my 1stK on my new K! Still have a KZ440 (82) Needed a windshield. Went to the local dealer and he sold me a new windshield. told the wife I couldn't help it if it had an '06 Vulcan 750 already attatched... hehe! Been using it for my commute to work and I plan on making my first 200 mile trip tomorrow! can't wait!!! Let The Good Times Roll!

Congrats on the new ride..... Just a few heads up for ya to keep you running.

1) make sure you lube the splines on the driveshaft when the time comes. most dealers seem to have a problem remebering to do so. some moly 60 works great.
2) switch to a Mantinance free battery. It will not run dry in the summer, and provides a sure fire start on cold mornings.
3) since its still hot out where i am, and prolly where you are, relocating the rectifier/regulator is another smart move saving you time and money later on in about 10k-15k miles...
