I just got back from my first ever group ride! It was ashort 40 mile ride. It was with a local Gold Wing Chapter Club. I was totally impressed! Peoplw were really nice and helpful. I was intimidated by not having a Gold Wing,but they could've cared less. I was on motorcycle and had a positive attitude,that was enough for them! Note to all: Don't hesitate to venture out of the box and join a ride, I did! Made friends in the process.

Good for you, Yes people are willing to help. Group rides arnt thet hard just have to watch and ride straight. You shuld be doing that anyway.
Great way to meet new people.

I did a ride more than a few years ago called "Hogs For Dogs" sponsored by a local Harley dealer and local Humane Society.
I too was a little apprehensive at first, till I saw dualsports, a couple other Vulcans, Gold Wings, some of everything !!
Turned out to be a great ride !

Alot of rides, like ya said, happily invite anyone with a bike and good attitude.
