This sounds great, but I'm in Washington State so I don't think I can make it. I got an idea, I have a tent, fire pit, BBQ pit, tiki torches, beer and bikes. How about we skype the party? that is if I can get wifi out to the party area.

This is all I needed to hear to convince myself to get me a gps. Google maps makes it easy at only one hour... and I love to ride. decisions, decisions... Ride safe.

About 15 mins ago a huge storm just ended here...60mph winds, hail, etc...lasted about an hour....trees down all over town, and 3 of the 4 roads inbound are closed. I made out pretty much ok, besides branches down, but this might not be the best weekend....
Invite still open though....but ya gotta approach the village from the east. Only way in now. I can always do it next weekend too, or all weekends until the snow flies. All are always welcome...just PM me first so's I know yer coming...
Flaco...dont use Google Maps...try Bing Maps...much better, and I used to be a land surveyor...search 116 Windermere Ave, Greenwood Lake, NY...that be me (Im the house behind the stores). Cmon up if ya want. If ya aint afraid of lightning, lol. My door is always open to all fellow riders.
And hey, Niterider, I already got mesquite soaking fer the smoker...fired by local hickory...:smiley_th

I'm only an hour and a half away. If you're putting something official together later on, let me know. Eating bear is worth the trip alone. Sorry to hear about the damage to your town bro...

A buck 80 huh? You realize you're higher than Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Albert Einstein, and Leonardo de Vinci? We know there are Ratio IQs and Deviation IQs right? We know that 100 is average, 130 is genius, and 70 is mental retardation? That at a buck 80 your a clean 50 points over the standard deviation for the entire intelligence quotient bell curve? One point over Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, the highest IQ in human history? And that online IQ tests have the viability of a vending machine? I hope, at a truly remarkable buck 80, you're doing something awesome with it. Although admittedly, making your own bear sausage is pretty damn awesome. :)

Actually, I was tested by Mensa in Dallas around 1999. Was accepted, then turned it down, lol (buncha stuffed shirts). I believe they used an older scale back then :

• IQ Ratings OF 115-124 Above average

• IQ Rating OF 125-134 Gifted

• IQ Ratings OF 135-144 Highly gifted

• IQ Score OF 145-154 Genius

• IQ Score OF 155-164 Genius

• IQ Scoring OF 165-179 High genius

• IQ Scoring OF 180-200 Highest genius

• IQ Scoring OF 200 or above Immeasurable genius

So I was technically a "lower level" genius (or so they told me). Einstein by this scale was a 160 btw. Over the years, due to my age and health problems, Im sure its gone down some (that does happen).
Do I do anything with it ?...Im continually inventing. Sadly Im usually beaten to the patent by others. Last year I invented a wood/coal/propane fired hottub. Few years before, a jar opener, and a lotta years ago, a lazer golf putter. I also played around with harnessing the Earth's electromagnetic fields a few years back. Succeeded on a small scale, then ran outta funds.

Well maybe you can figure out a decent charging system for our bikes... I hope one say to be able to ride to the northeast and see some of the countryside.

How do you score "Highest genius" on their scale with a buck 80 but get told by the same people that you're "lower level" genius? Is there a caveat in determining test scores? Do scores undergo additional evaluation by Mensa or something like that? Maybe "EQ" is accounted for in some way? Just curious...

I havent had my VN long enough to know about that, but if/when I do, better believe I'll work on it...

No idea, bro...I was only tested because GF in Dallas wanted to impress her parents with me. I KNOW I took more than just the standard test (took 4-5 hrs), so perhaps Mensa was aware of the rating system faults, and was adding their own varriables. Im guessing was probably more like between 145-160...but they told me I scored 180 on the basic test...I wasnt interested anyway really, so just brushed most of it off and moved back to the NE. Shame too, since she owned gas wells, lol.
Besides, there are so many variables involved its not even funny. Its all relative, and has little to do with education (besides basic reading skills) I.e. a semi literate yahoo from Appalachia, should in theory be able to be a genius (and logically so). IQ more reflects on learning abilities and capacities, and the ability of deductive reasoning and logic. Einstein didnt even speak until what, 7 yrs old ? I was reading and speaking 2 languages by age 5....
But by whatever scale, Im a low-level genius. Ive exhibited that since childhood. If it didnt cost so much, I wouldnt mind being retested using the new scaling, but even back in '99, the test cost $800....ya, really !....I'd rather put that into my scoot ! :)

My 8th just occured within last 6 months. I have slipping rib syndrome, which in turn damages my spleen when I cough hard or strain myself. Was just really confirmed as such within past week. may need a splenectomy.
But....the SSA and the gov't say there is nothing wrong with me, and to get back to work and keep paying taxes like I have been for 37 yrs. Well, I aint payin one more thin dime to them bastiges. Wouldda been getting $1700/mo, and a single man in So Colorado could live nicely on that....mebbe I'll move to Canada, eh ? Or to Russia with the rest of my family...get myself a Ural motorcycle...*weg*
