Fedex just delivered my saddle bags, their much larger than I
expected and should work out fine. I need to know what is
recommended for preserving and making the leather (water-buffalo
from Pakistan) hold up in the sun, rain and snow.

Mink Oil works great on leather, it will darken light leather but if it is black you wont see any change. Softens and waterproofs.

Oh yea, I remember using Mink oil on by boots way back when I was a mountain climber of sorts.
It kind of has an animal scent to it. Don't
think I would want to use it on a Leather Jacket because it might smell.
Ordered some Chillowee Leather protectant, but think the Mink oil will
come in handy for some uses.
So, how many bolts do I have to remove on the right side to mount
the right side Highway Peg. I have shrunk down to 6'4" and have a 32 inch inseam, so I think the
pegs will fit good enough.

The peg brackets mount on the motor mount bolts. On the right side you have to remove the front exhaust . Would recomend getting a new gasket.
Good time to do the Degoat also, you are halfway there.

Yeah i've found Mink Oil to be the best for leather, rub it on, let it sit, rub it off, makes your leather jacket a rain coat.

Iv'e been using 303 and it seems to work pretty well, leaves a nice shine and beads up water pretty good.
