Having trouble with a clamp on the right side. Left side is buttoned up finished.

Can't rotate clamp on back of the right head pipe where the flexpipe needs to be tightened. I can put it on, but the the heatshield will not fit.

Using classic "D" type muffler clamp, can't find a flat, band type clamp.

Suggestions?

I reused the factory strap type clamp on the right side when I did mine and the standard auto clamp on the left side.

I couldn't get the factory strap type tight enough, snapped the bolt!
There seems to be too much space between the outside of the front head pipe and the inside of the flexpipe.

Use the broken factory clamp now as a shim under another factory clamp. That will fill in the space and give you a tight fit. Read my writeup about how I did my dyna mufflers if you aren't sure what I'm talking about.
