Any riders in Mobile, Baldwin or other southern counties? Even over into Florida. Looking for some vulcan owners to ride and work on the bikes with. Let everyone know.

Shelby County - pretty far, but I bought it to ride it! Would love if there were a SE version of the Gathering.

A SE version of the gathering?

Hey, let's do it...!!!.....:smiley_th

Of course, this begs the question--where would we have it?

3 suggestions....somewhere in:

1) north GA;

2) western NC, or...

3) eastern TN.

I vote that someone experienced with the preferred areas mentioned above chime in here with some suggestions on where they have stayed, that they would be comfortable recommending to the rest of us.

I think a state park or motorcycle-only campground would be an appropriate enough place for us to meet up. Somewhere that would let us camp via tents, RVs, and/or cabins/rooms--at reasonable prices.

The following link has a list of motorcycle-only campgrounds that seems complete enough. Personally, I think we should pick someplace that is close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, in NC.

I've not been there, but it apparently is truly epic riding....:beerchug:

Even though I am closer to 1) & 3), I agree that BRP around Asheville is a great idea. Preferably when summer closes out (heat) and I have all my bags purchased and attached to the bike!

Hey, I think I could handle that...!!!!
When, where...??? I believe any of the three would work for me...
There's the Moonshiner 28 in N. Ga., the Dragon (129) & the Devil's Triangle (116) in E. Tn. and also the Blue Ridge Pkwy. in W. N.C., (Cherokee to Ashville is a good ride) so many good places to ride in all those areas, the Dragon being one of my least favorites due to its popularity & crowds...
Didn't they used to have gatherings in E. Tn. around Cherokee lake somewhere...???
Have a good one...Old Dog...

Another suggestion for a place to meet up and/or stay....

Amicalola Falls State Park:

http://gastateparks.org/AmicalolaFalls

Regardless of your overnite preference, this park delivers--hotel (lodge) rooms, cabins, tent, trailer, or RV campsites--plus a 20-room "hike" inn for the walkaholics amongst us. It's a very relaxing, picturesque place to ride from, or just hang out. An on-site restaurant is there to help keep us bikers fueled up.

The icing on the "cake" is the great riding from the Park in all directions; you really can't lose.

With the leaves there reaching peak color(s) soon, who thinks they can take it from here???
