Oh I know, I want to meet the guy I just haven't had a chance. Well i assume it's a guy could be a girl. It's like 8 houses down so I only see it driving past. Can't rightly drive my bike up in his driveway go pound on the door and be like, 'fellow biker!' That gets you arrested some times. =)

Tank top and hot PINK pants? OK, you got my attention. I wear a 42 waist :wow:

I'll see what kinda design I can come up with, anybody else for this design challenge? I don't wanna waste my time if another artist is feverishly working away...

Hey, I've got a 750 in the Central Valley (it's still Cali, but sometimes it feels like Oklanhoma, not that there's anything wrong with that). I strongly advise you to got beat the dude's door down, in a polite way, of course. There are relatively few of us out here, and we appreciate positive reinforcement. We few know that this is a great bike. The rest of the cruising world is into slow fatties, we're the last of the sport cruisers.
'01, cheapo windshield from e-bay, OEM rack, gettin' APE tensioners installed now

I just bought a '96 VN750 w/7k miles. It's my first bike in a long time.
It seems improbable that there are so few VN750's in Cali but who knows? I was looking for a cruiser tourer and this is a good fit for me. :)

You could put the emblem on the side of our fuel tanks on the back of the t shirts. because that is about all their going to see.For the front let me think about this...

we can make an led maquee that would scroll the website..... maybe cegodsey can make one for us and we pay parts plus a lil labor, cause to buy premade is a rip.... i am thinking a 8 x 36 led in 5mm red's should work....

There's a place somewhere here in PA that does fiber optic designs on t-shirts, hats, coats, just about anything.
On a show on TV about them, they were just starting to work on a set up that you could plug into your 'puter and have a marquee say anything ya wanted.
They weren't cheap, but pretty wild looking.

I'm trying to remember - seems like you can get one for less than 20 bucks - often seen at art festivals as belt buckles.

Here's a place with 'em. Or, do a search for "LED belt buckle"

Hey I am out in Calif also. The town is called Petaluma, just south of Santa Rosa Calif. Or about 50 miles north of San Fran.

bike is about 2 years old
did the covertion kit on turn signals to stop lights.
Did the mod on the head light, to flashing, so all the crazy drivers out here can see me.
Installed a clock, voltmeter, and temp gauge mod.

Hello Dashwuff! I am far from you up in the Bay Area. A little town called Petaluma, just south of Santa Rosa. It really may not be hard to say hello to your naughbor. I did it last week, saw a bike like ours sitting in the driveway at a house by my son's house. Met the wife but not the husband, she said next time stop by and she said he would be glad to talk or take a ride. Lot of luck,

im getting my bike in shape-- its been out of action for a while, but as soon as its ready to go id be up for heading up petaluma way for a ride in the mountains--

i just got it cheap no questions asked '93 - runs but, and i got to lube the splines and it has low charging symptoms-- i don't think its the stator, as its not that bad - but-- it could get bad. carbs are also slightly out of whack, after hard accel i get backfiring as i let off-

Im hoping 2 or 3 weeks i can get that sorted then im good to ride!

hey!
we could meet half way (im in oakland basically) and scare all the rich white people on bicycles in marin!

fyi:

after i posted this I looked up why i am backfiring and it seems thats a normal (if slightly messed up) emissions controls system implemented by Kawasaki-- its reburning the fuel by introducing oxygen into the exhaust system.

hey, i was accepted to ucsd, but they havnt yet decided if they will give me any financial aid (ph.d. program - in basic terms there are better candidates than me, and if they decide to go elsewhere-- i might get the slot)

if the better people choose somewhere else, ill be down with my 750 in September--

this weekend i hit the bmw2002 fest down near menlo park (san jose area)- they had about 200 cars show up, most of them from the 2002faq forums->

we need to get organized like they are! got tons of good advice, cheap parts swapped-- raffles. saw some great rides. how many vn750s you think are in california? 1000? 2000? it would be wild to get them all together!

In another forum, they put together a business card macro you could customize with your name/screen name. You then just leave one on the bike with a note on the back that says "Nice bike, I have one also. If you would like to go for a ride give me a call. 555-555-1212 There is also a really nice website for this bike. See the other side" or something.
