Have you checked the bulbs in the blinkers or the wiring under the seat? There is only 2 wires for the rear blinker so it may have come unplugged, corroded, or a chafed wire grounding out.
The oil leak depends on where it is coming from. If it is just the oil drain plug or oil filter, a new drain plug gasket or oil filter will be cheap. They might only need tightening so try that first. If it is coming from an engine gasket....the worse case being the engine having to be pulled and split in half that will takes hours and an engine gasket set. It could be simple or hard but If you can locate the origin of the leak someone can give you a better idea.

thanks for the feedback.
Yeah put all new bulbs in it and a new relay.....i replaced the relay with 3 male prongs sticking out....i think that was the right one. But the right blinkers will still not flash...not even if i use my hazards. Does not flash under my speedometer either. the front running lights work but no blinking on the right. I think i am going to test the right back (that doesnt even light up) and see if it is the wireing or the unit.
I will clean up the bottom of the bike and see if i can tell where the oil is coming from. seems to only happen when it is running.

common cause for a leak is the o rings on the spark plug retainers(think thats what they are called. If Orings are bad, oil leaks, goes into the weep hole and exits out the front of the head(on the front cyl) and makes its way to the bottom. Took me a while to find the cause of the leak on my bike. replaced those orings and no more leak. You might want to check that. Many have had this issue

Hey npr, welcome to the madness. Come up to the newbie checkin forum and introduce yourself there. This is the forum computer technical support and testing of avatars site, etc. If you check the forums, you will see we have separate tech forums for electrical and engine problems, etc.
As you say you have changed the bulbs, I`m sure you understand that the 2 wire OEM rear lights are only turn signals and 4 way flashers, NO RUNNING LIGHTS. Double check the elements in the right side bulbs before pulling the wiring harness apart.
Does the left dash signal indicator flash?
If the left blinkers flash with the 4 ways, and neither of right signal lights or dash indicator operates, it sounds like a break in the wiring close to the switch, or a bad connection in the switch itself.

Hoss I didn't even notice where we were on the forum. oops.
Anyways npr0099 like hoss said if you bring this up in the electrical thread you will get more opinions but where it is the rear I would say take the seat off and find the 2 wires that go to the right blinker, unplug them and test with a test light/meter and see if there is power there. If you have power it is the blinker itself, if not then chase it forward to the relay. I'm not sure but like in most cars if you have a blinker light out on one side it cancels out the other on the same side.
Three things about the oil leak until you can repair it.
1) check the oil regularly
2) keep the oil cleaned off the bike.
3) say a Harley was parked there before you. lol

i had the same problem with my 85 700 the socket was damaged by the previous owner ! he was trying to use the wrong kind of bulbs in it! smashed the contact in the so flat that it was gounded out behind the socket its self! i used a small pick and pulled it out a little bit and thats all! check too and see if you have the right type of contacts on the back of the bulb!
