: Warm air going up leg

Has anyone had riding pants on ..and on the freeway had warm (hot) air go up there leg when using the kury longhorn highway pegs? I actually do get warmer and was wondering what people do to combat it. I have tried the leg blouses used in by the military which seem to work to keep the pant leg end tight. Any other ideas? Just curious. Its just something else to strap down when prelaunching...

Just wait till it gets winter time. No more hot air up the pant leg then.

All my "riding pants" have velcro straps to cinch the bottom tighter to the leg. (Important as you do not want the pant riding up in fall)

If your pants lack this feature, or do not allow you to tighten the bottom as much as you would like, a quick trip to a fabric store for some 1" wide velcro, some nylon thread and a needle can solve this issue forever.

You can even fore go the needle and thread and get the double-sided velcro roll that sticks to itself available at Home Depot. Cut to fit and you have a handy pants cinch.

It's still better than a warm feeling running down your legs, before the next rest stop.

Kidding aside, try these (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Pant-Clips-Boot-Strap-Anti-scractch-/170519978264?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Apparel_Merchandise&hash=item27b3c86118) or something along those lines. They work well for me.

Hey that's cool......you go just ahead and be the one of the "tough guys" (on a 750? Now that's funny!)

I ordered the black pant boot straps...low key but will work great with the pants!

The straps are pretty handy in cold weather too....cold air up the leg sucks balls! If I had chaps, maybe these wouldn't be necessary but chaps way more money (but way tougher, OH, OH, AH, AH ~Tim Allen~)!

Any Walmart has packages of elastic clips just like that in the housewares deptartment.
They are used to hold an ironing board cover in place.
I think you get 4 of them for about $5.:smiley_th

You could always use redneck chrome on a roll... (duct tape) :motorcycl

get a roll of velcro tape, fuzzy on one side and sticky on the other, works wonders to fix "wind problems" while out on the road. i always keep a roll in my saddle bag. had a stirrup fall off the chaps 1000 miles from home and it worked perfectly.

now... i seem to have the problem of hot air blowing up and out the rear of my pants!

I just recycled a set of clips from an old pair of suspenders (not mine) that I found. sewn onto a black elastic and made my own stirrups for nothing.

May not be cool or tough looking....but looks a hell of a lot better than when I ride to work in business casual ......legs out on the front pegs with pants riding up to my knees and dress socks :loser1:

What, like Khaki's??

Bet those offer some protection if you go down.... Dress shoes too?

You need a pair of Overpants. Already come with Velcro cuffs, and will keep the road dirt/splattered bugs off your nice pants while offering better abrasion resistance and armor.

I have those too....but some days it is just too damn hot to wear them.

If I go down on the interstate, riding pants won't make a difference since these idiots around here would most likely run me over even if I did go down unscathed

I guess if it's that hot I'd just wear my mesh pants and change when I got to work.

Or take the car....;)

Thought cold air shrank balls.... and other things. LOL!
