Has anyone tried to hard wire or maybe setup an aux. so that you can power a gps on your vn750? Or will the bikes electrical system beable to handle it.

I'm going to try to wire in a PDA GPS unit on my bike. I figure it should handle it. I heard that our bikes have something like 70 watts available and I doubt that a PDA or a 12 volt GPS system takes more wattage than that. You might check the back of your unit.

Quick question, how do you intend to mount your unit?

Take a look at the Ram Mount System. They can get anything on your handlebars.

I have a garmin etrex GPS I also have the bicycle mount. The mount fits fine on the top part of the handle bar next to the mirror. I then took some wire and a outdoor 12 volt cig lighter I had and mounted it on the left side of the bike next to the air filter. I then ran the wiring from the lighter to the battery.
I have the cig connecter from garmin and when I want to use it I just plug it in no poblems.
