: New Vulcan 750 website from mainevulcan
mainevulcan 06-27-2004, 10:03 AM Hello all,
I finally finished my web pages. It's the first time I've done a
web site. It has 20 pages, 76 pictures, and 13 different
backgrounds. It's pretty simple; no sounds, music, or moving gifs
but that may change as I learn more. All done in FrontPage 2000
since thats all I had. It's on a free web server so we'll see how
long it lasts.....
The address is : http://www.angeltowns2.com/members/norman/ (http://www.angeltowns2.com/members/norman/)
Please stop by and if you have any comments or suggestions on how I could make it better, please let me know. Your thoughts are welcome.
(ribbing is authorized on my choice of rear-end comfort)

mainevulcan 06-27-2004, 12:50 PM Thank you for your kind words. I'm glad you enjoyed it. It seems like you are one of the few people who is even remotely located close to me. If you find any snow ski's for the bike, let me know ..... :)
beadhoer 06-27-2004, 02:11 PM Your website looks great! Keep up the good job! :-)
beavis 06-27-2004, 08:17 PM Great site, nice work on the fading page transitions.
my spline was bone dry as well on my 97 model on the upper end, the lower seemed lubed ok. They may have done that when they changed the back tire though?
got bike used so dont know. had 12k miles when I lubed the shaft and found it dry, same red dust you described, but no tooth damage lucklily,

MokiMan 06-27-2004, 08:36 PM Website looks good. Lotsa good add-ons and mods to the 750. Especially liked your flag quick-disconnect. Think I'll make one for the 1600 like it.
choppbobby 07-21-2004, 02:46 PM Nice web site.
Here's a look at my home made web site. http://choppbobby.com/bikemods.html

mainevulcan 07-22-2004, 08:55 PM Choppbobby,
Nice mods. I know that wiring took a lot of time. Nice pics of the mods.
mainevulcan 07-22-2004, 08:56 PM Thank you for the compliment. I appreciate you taking the time to check it out.

gnon2705 07-29-2004, 07:25 PM Hey Norm..good site. I thought I was the only person in Maine to ride a 700/750 Vulcan.
Wayne :)
spence 07-29-2004, 08:34 PM Wow two of you! what are the chances? Aya Aya

gnon2705 07-30-2004, 05:50 AM I thought they were pretty darn slim myself. I see a lot of the bigger vulcans around, but seldome the 700/750's. Maybe I'll see more at the annual toy run this year.
UncleGomer 07-30-2004, 08:23 AM Hmmm...maybe Norm and "gnon" need to host the VN750 rally in 2005? We coudl flood the state with Vulcan 750's!
mainevulcan 07-30-2004, 10:01 PM Finally, another Mainer. Amazing that in a state that is almost as big as the other 5 New England states put together that you would see me on the road today and say "you must be Norm !"
Wow
I can be reached at "mainevulcan@yahoo.com"
Here's a link to some fun facts on why you non-Mainers may want to make a road trip up here: http://www.state.me.us/legis/senate/statehouse/facts/facts.htm
gnon2705 07-31-2004, 05:52 AM Who woulda thunk it? It was pretty amazing though. In case anyone is wondering, Norm and I happened to meet on the road yesterday going to the neighborhood Wal Mart. As soon as we pulled up beside each other, I thought I recognized some of the modifications he had done to his bike. They look pretty cool in real life. We spent some time talking in the parking lot. Very informative for me that's for sure. Would love to see more Vulcans in Maine. :)
