Anyone here know where to find a salvage yard in the Austin area that might carry VN700/750 parts?

What kind of gear are you looking for? With nearly 7000 members here, we have quite a collection of used parts!

Not looking for anything specific right now. I would just like to know that I have another resource for hard to find parts besides having to go to a dealer. Spent $15 for two ACCT cap bolts at Woods Fun Center.

Well, there's 4 or 5 salvage yards down here, but two of them are a PITA and not worth screwin' with. Tigger's (Houston Cycle Salvage) in Pasadena is good, but rarely has any 750 parts; what he does have is usually old, and salvageable with a bit of work, and prices sometimes change depending on his mood. Land's Cycle, near me on I-10 at Bayou Dr. in Channelview, usually has a couple 700s or 750s; he's got two 700s right now that together would make one 3/4 complete bike that would still need a lot of work to make look and run good. He's also usually a bit high on his prices, but he's usually pretty fair on small parts.

Those flanged bolts on the ACCTs could possibly have been gotten at a hardware store (Ace), altho the flange itself might have been a slightly smaller diameter. The o-ring would've still sealed, tho.

I love Ace hardware stores. They almost always have something that will work.
