Hi all. I've been registered for a few weeks and have been lurking in the forums and reading up on things where I can. A few weeks ago I bought a 1996 VN750 with 18,000 miles and have been enjoying it so far.
I had to replace the front wheel (old one was dinged up bad from a pothole). I'm getting new tires and having the fork seals done sometime in the next week or so.
I'm going to change the oil tomorrow (using Shell Rotella T Synthetic 5-40 and a Walmart/SuperTech filter). I'm going to service the final drive, including splines, on my next free weekend.
Once I get all of the maintenance issues straightened out I'm going to start cleaning and polishing everything to get it looking a little better.
